The firm has more than twenty-five years of experience in toxic tort and asbestos litigation. For more than fifteen of those years, the firm has served as national counsel at various levels for multiple clients. Its team of lawyers is frequently called upon to try cases throughout the country and has tried numerous cases to verdict and participated in more than three dozen asbestos and other toxic tort trials in more than twenty jurisdictions in the United States.
It has extensive experience in the following toxic torts:

- silicosis
- benzene exposure
- chemical exposure
- coal worker pneomoconiosis
The firm also has extensive experience in defending other complex litigation matters in Madison and St. Clair counties in southwestern Illinois, St. Louis and the local federal district courts.
The firm regularly handles the defense of a wide variety of product liability and negligence cases. Today and for many years it has handled the defense of major truck claims, premises claims and municipal liability claims for units of local government.

Local Government Law
The firm has developed a team with broad expertise in many areas of local government and government affairs.
The firm serves as counsel for several school districts in St. Clair County. For many years it has also defended claims against downstate Illinois school districts for the Illinois School District Agency.
The firm has a special interest in litigation involving election law and government affairs. For many years, it served as general counsel for a local election authority and has been counsel of record in many important Illinois election cases over the years.
